I am excited about these little – or should I say slightly round – village people. I’m thinking I could make a whole bunch of these and they could take over the world…or maybe not but the idea of creating a zombie mob has crossed my mind.
So here’s some photos of them. I’m thinking of finishing the backs with patterned paper.
These will be great to sell through my etsy shop as they pack flat and there is no worry of breakage. Crossing fingers you all love them as I do.
Happy New Year!

Finally here are the details…
The Whodunit? OCAD Mystery Art Sale is OCAD’s signature fundraising event. It’s an exhibition and sale of pieces of original art by well-known and celebrity artists, OCAD faculty, alumni and students.
Gaining in popularity year after year, the Whodunit? OCAD Mystery Art Sale offers hundreds of original pieces of art donated by artists who are famous and not-yet-famous. Every piece measures 5½ x 7½ inches and each piece is $75. Like it – buy it – turn it over and see Whodunit!
Come celebrate art, artists and friends at a fabulous party unlike any other. Preview the hundreds of pieces of mystery art for sale in the Whodunit? Public Art Sale on November 20. Bid on framed 5½” x 7½” mystery art chosen exclusively for sale in the Silent Auction or bid on large-scale art by a select group of artists in the Live Auction. Join mystery artists and friends at our exclusive party!
How it works…
View hundreds of pieces of art during the Public Preview and write down the numbers of the pieces you would like to buy. Then be first in line on the day of the sale to make sure you get the pieces you want. Buy the art at the Public Art Sale. All art is sold on a first-come, first-served basis. I’m happy with the end result of my two pieces I’m submitting in the 3rd Annual Teapot Interpret show at Arts on Queen. When you get a chance stop by and check these out.
I’ve done one “Gathering friends for the tea party” with Gouche and vintage (1920′s text book for boys) paper collage on cardstock and one “I will not Sass the Queen” that is oil pastel and oil paint on patterned paper framed in a handmade shadow box.

Hello dear art lovers and friends,
I’ve spent my last 26 months making and raising a baby boy. What a beautiful and exhausting time.
Now that I have officially graduated into being a mother of a toddler I took a look at my studio and the layer of dust that had accumulated on the multiple projects I had begun while pregnant and knew something had to be done. Inside I have been filled to the brim with creative ideas wanting so desperately to express myself. But alas, a full time job and my sweet little boy has made my creative outlet a little less convenient.
So (during nap time) a couple of weeks ago I cleaned up my studio and made a commitment to start again. Baby steps. I am taking a kind and patient approach to my artwork ventures. I will allow myself the time to digest and enjoy each creation I make.
